The Welsh Open Championships took place this week at Deeside on 8 to 12 October.

The IW had only one skater competing – Nikita Heathfield in the novice ladies. Nikita scored 16.53 in the short, placing her 40th out of 45 competitors.

Gosport skater Amy World, who also skates with the IW synchronized skating teams, was first in the solo dance pre-novice ladies.

There is no synchro at this year’s event. Insufficient teams were able to compete at the time available for synchro (see iowskaters.com).
