Former IW skater Charlotte Aiken and ice dance partner Josh Whidborne took their first international medal at senior level at the Ondrej Nepela Memorial Trophy in Bratislava, 4 to 6 October.

After the short programme they were in third place, out of 12, with 47.69 points. A score of 70.81 in the free dance gave them third place overall with a total of 118.50.

The competition was good news for UK skating as a whole, with Jenna McCorkell taking first place in the senior ladies with 144.10.
