IW synchronized ice skaters recently made use of one of their many trips by ferry to the mainland to raise funds for the coming season.

Along with Karen Woods, Wightlink’s communications adviser, four of our skaters boarded the St Clare at Fishbourne with their collection buckets to raise funds on the 10am sailing on 7 July. IW skaters taking part were Anneliese Smith of Wight Sequins, Jess Gruber from Wight Sparkles, Jess Curtis representing Wight Crystals, and Roxy Collins of Wight Jewels

They met with the Captain Ed Stickley, and during the crossing they collected £138 to be shared between the four synchro teams to help with travel expenses to competitions during the 2018–19 season.
