IW synchronized skating team the Wight Jewels travelled to Solihull ice rink on Saturday 25 June to take part in an ice skating gala.

The Jewels performed their short programme to Jai Ho and a modified version of their long programme. The gala also gave latest member Kirsty Atter the opportunity to perform with the team for the first time. Kirsty is also a member of the Wight Crystals.

Jewels team member Mikki Graham also had a chance to shine in two solo spots, to Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend, and Cry Me A River, by Michael Bublé. Mikki is furthest flung member of the team, travelling from South Derbyshire each week to train with the Jewels.
