British Synchronized Skating Championships 2018

The 2018 British Synchronized Skating Championships take place this weekend (13 and 14 January) at Nottingham Ice Arena. In spite of the loss of the Isle of Wight’s ice rink, four IW teams are taking part – Wight Jewels, Crystals, Sparkles and Sequins – after training at ice rinks on the mainland.

At senior level, Wight Jewels compete against Team Viola of Cardiff and Zariba of Aberdeen. Wight Crystals are in a class of their own in Advanced Novice B. Wight Sparkles face four teams in the Juvenile category, and Wight Sequins are up against 11 other teams in the Elementary event.
