IW synchronized skating teams were in action at the Wales & West Synchronized Skating Competition in Cardiff on 17 November. Both came home with gold medals.

Wight Crystals, competing in the Basic Novice A event, were first with a score of 21.48.

Wight Jewels, competing in the Junior B event, were first with 67.75 overall (22.45 after the short), with Solway Stars second on 62.62 (21.27 after the short). The Jewels are competing at Junior B level this year, because a change in age criteria for Junior level, raising the minimum age from 12 to 13, has had the unfortunate effect of limiting the intake of new skaters for the season.
