US Figure Skating’s junior team selection event for the 2014 Junior World Challenge Cup took place in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, over 3 to 4 January. The synchronized skating teams that will represent the US at the event are Lexettes and Chicago Jazz.
Regulars at the JWCC in recent years, Skyliners and Team Braemar, finished 4th and 8th respectively, showing just how much the synchro scene can change. Last year, Lexettes and Skyliners represented USA at the ISU junior world synchronized skating championships, the event that from 2013 alternates each year with the JWCC.
Canada’s selection process for the JWCC, Winterfest, is at the Hershey Centre, Mississauga, on 10 to 12 January.
The British Synchronized Skating Championships on 18 to 19 January is one of the events that determines which teams if any the UK sends to the JWCC in Neuchatel (6 to 8 March, www.jwcc2014.com) and to the senior synchro worlds in Courmayeur (3 to 5 April, www.2014synchroworlds.com).
