An artificial ice rink will form part of a Christmas market at the Isle of Wight Military History Museum between West Cowes and Newport, Isle of Wight, on 1 to 23 December. The ice rink itself will re-open on Boxing Day and continue to 6 January.
The Christmas market will have a bandstand, wooden stalls inspired by German and Austrian markets, an indoor Dickensian high street, plus a Santa’s grotto.
Visitors to the island should note that the museum is well away from the centre of Cowes, and will require access by car or bus. Southern Vectis’s No 1 service runs frequently from Cowes Red Jet terminal to Newport bus station.
