Wight Jewels skated a clean long programme for a score of 50.37 and a total overall score of 75.64 – enough to advance them two places and overtake Australia’s Iceskateers Elite and Croatia’s Zagreb Snowflakes.
The team finished 17th – its best result at the junior worlds.
Finnish team Fintastic pulled ahead of compatriots Musketeers to win with 176.61 points against 175.77, with a single fall probably costing Musketeers the gold. Team Braemar of the USA took third with 172.48 points.
