Former IW skater Henry Aiken, and partner Annika Maczka, won gold in the advanced novice ice dance competition at the Ice Challenge in Graz, Austria, held on 9 to 14 November.

The annual Ice Challenge is Austria’s flagship ice skating event and attracts more than 100 skaters from countries including Ukraine, Slovenia, Australia and Hungary.

Henry and his partner skate for Guildford, and will be competing this week at the British Ice Figure Skating Championships in Sheffield. Henry’s sister, Charlotte, will also be defending her title in the junior ice dance event with partner Josh Whidborne. Both Henry and Charlotte have previously represented the IW, and performed in a number of the club’s shows and galas.
