The Isle of Wight’s Ice Dance & Figure Skating Club’s first fundraising auction held on 21 May has raised well over £3000.00!  The auction activity itself was preceded by a delicious 2 course meal and viewing of the many lots on offer.  Warren Riches of Island Auction Rooms gave his time to enthusiastically encourage those attending to raise their hands in the spirit of helping the sport and sold off everything from a summer garden hanging basket to Bestival tickets and Red Funnel Round the Island Yacht Race VIP tickets.

Our thanks go out to all the volunteers who worked so hard on this project, in particular Christine O’Brien and Kim Probert.  We would also like to thank  the Shanklin and Sandown Golf Club, Peter Tautz (toastmaster), Warren Riches (auctioneer), the many sponsors who graciously donated auction pieces and raffle prizes, and of course, those individuals who dug deep into their pockets to bid and purchase the wide variety of items.
