A special ice skating gala takes place at Planet Ice Ryde this month to raise funds to send two of the Isle of Wight’s synchronized skating teams to the 15th International Synchronized Skating Cup at Huttwil, Switzerland, on 9-10 January.

The fund-raising gala, which features junior British synchronized skating champions the Wight Jewels, takes place on 30 December 2009, starting at 6.15pm and running until 7pm. Entrance is just £2.00.
