
IW skaters travelled to Milton Keynes this week to skate in the IJS Open Competition. Over 330 skaters from across the UK competed over the three-day competition. Milton Keynes Ice Skating Club is a self-funded organisation run by a voluntary committee.
On day one Jess Curtis skated in the Level 3 Ladies age 12 and under. Jess scored 19.15 for seventh place.
On day three Anneliese Smith competed in the Level 2 Ladies age 11 and under, scoring 14.29 for 13th place.
In addition to the Island skaters, Georgina Evans who is a synchro team member and trains at Gosport competed in the Level 5 Ladies 13 and under. Georgina scored 20.21 for 13th place.
Nikita Heathfield, who skated with synchro team Wight Jewels before relocating to Dundee, competed in the Level 10 Ladies Free. A score of 60.52 put her in third place, winning a bronze medal.
