Murrayfield Opens take place from 28 April to 3 May at Murrayfield ice rink, Edinburgh, and IW skater Nikita Heathfield is taking part in the level 9 ladies short and free competitions. Nikita currently trains at and represents Dundee, and says she will be debuting her new programmes at the event.

Update (2 May): Nikita was third in the free skate for level 9 ladies, scoring 61.57 for a new personal best. According to Nikita this is her first solo medal since 2012! A costume malfunction in the short programme for level 9 ladies meant she could score only  21.01 for 9th place. The short and the free were held as two separate competitions at this event.
