Sheffield IJS competitions get under way at iceSheffield on 26 August, running until 30 August.

IW skater Nikita Heathfield is due to take part in the novice ladies event, which has 44 entrants at the time of writing.

Former IW skater Henry Aiken and partner Mina Zdravkova are due to take part in the junior dance event, in which there is a total of five couples. Henry and Mina represent Lee Valley.

Update

Mina and Henry were second overall in the ice dance, scoring a total of 81.78 (SP: 32.09, FP: 49.69), against the 118.91 of clear winners Olivia Smart and Joseph Buckland. Mina and Henry next skate at the Junior Grand Prix in Mexico City on 4 to 8 September (results: www.isuresults.com/events/fsevent00051457.htm).

Nikita finished 48th in the junior ladies, unfortunately not having one of her best skates.

Charlotte Aiken and Josh Whidborne were unable to skate at Sheffield IJS owing to an injury sustained in training.
