The Isle of Wight Ice Dance and Figure Skating Club is holding a charity fundraising gala on 10 May. The gala is from 5.30 to 6.30pm at Planet Ice, Ryde.
This year the club is donating all money raised to the Sophie Rolf KissyPuppy fund. Planet Ice has donated the ice time for this event. There will be a fundraising raffle at the gala, tickets for which are available in advance and on the night.
Sophie Rolf is a young IW child who was diagnosed in 2012, aged 5, with an aggressive, inoperable brain tumour. She is about to start her last week of radiotherapy but will continue to have chemotherapy and the clinical trial. Sophie’s family has set up ‘KissyPuppy’ to create a mechanism for friends and family to fund raise for Sophie. The money raised has been used to support Sophie’s travel to and from appointments on the mainland, to buy vital equipment, and to create magical experiences and memories.
Please come along to the gala, buy a raffle ticket or five, and support this worthwhile cause.
