Former IW skaters Charlotte Aiken and her brother Henry both appear in today’s Isle of Wight County Press (IWCP).

The IWCP news item about the British Figure Skating and Synchro Championships details the background of the two skaters, who grew up and learned to skate on the IW. Charlotte competes at the British next week at senior level in ice dance with partner Josh Whidborne, and Henry competes at junior level in ice dance with partner Mina Zdravkova.

IW synchronized skating team Wight Jewels get a brief mention: they will defend their junior title at the championships with the aim of winning for the fifth consecutive time. Wight Crystals will be competing at advanced novice level.
