The Isle of Wight Ice Dance & Figure Skating Club’s AGM is at 7pm on Friday 11 May at the bowls club on Ryde Esplanade. This is a change of venue: it was due to be held at the rink.

The club needs a minimum of five committee members, including three officers, to be quorate at meetings and therefore able to make decisions: a full committee comprises 10 members, including four officers (chairman, vice-chairman, secretary and treasurer). Applications need to be submitted no later than one week before the AGM, and candidates need to be nominated and seconded by club members. Any club member can nominate or second someone for the committee, but only members aged 14 or over can vote at the AGM: only someone aged 16 or over can stand for the committee. The club noticeboard at the rink should have details of how to apply.

If the committee still has vacancies after (note, after) all the nominees are considered and appointed, then further candidates can be considered from those attending the AGM.
