Wight Jewels scored 25.27 in the short programme, which will put them in 19th place at the conclusion of this part of the competition. The top teams have yet to skate.

The team is very close in points to Iceskateers of Australia on 26.17 and Zagreb Snowflakes of Croatia on 27.66 and there is potential to move up in the long tomorrow.

At the top of the field Musketeers are in first position with 61.79 points, followed by Team Fintastic on 59.52. Rivalry between these two Finish teams is intense: last year Team Fintastic were junior world champions. Nexxice of Canada is in third with 58.66.
