Wight Jewels have been on a tour of Neuchatel today, by what IW readers will know as a Dotto train, taking in the sights.
The team is currently on the practice ice pad working on its short programme, which is performed to The Pussycat Dolls’ Jai Ho. We have run into Chris Buchanan, chair of the ISU synchronized skating technical committee, who has provided valuable help in the run-up to the JWCC by attending late night sessions at Basingstoke. It’s great to see a friendly face.
Following an injury last week, the team is down to 17 skaters – enough for the required 16 plus 1 reserve. Our reserves will once again have their day come the actual competition.
