Wight Jewels set off for the French Cup

IW junior synchronized skating team the Wight Jewels set off for France tonight for the French Cup in Rouen. The girls will be taking a coach and overnight ferry from Portsmouth to Caen, aiming to get to Rouen in time for their allotted practice session first thing in the morning – if all goes well they only have about two hours to make the journey from Caen to the rink.

The French Cup takes place from 3 to 5 February at the Olympic ice rink in the Guy Boissière sports cente, Rouen. The Jewels will be up against world-class opposition from countries including the USA, Canada, Sweden and Finland.
