NISA has drastically lowered the performance criteria for synchronized skating teams to belong to the regional development pathway team (RDPT) and to the development squad. In theory this means that the Wight Jewels will now meet the criteria for acceptance onto the development squad.  The Jewels are already part of the RDPT, having qualified under the previous, higher criteria.
