The Wight Jewels have arrived safely at their hotel in Gothenburg ready for the Junior World Challenge Cup. After a 3am start for some of us, we found that parents of skaters in Team Canada on the same flight had had even less sleep, and we count ourselves lucky. Transport links have been great, both from Portsmouth to Heathrow Airport, and from Gothenburg Airport to the hotel.
Thanks to IW synchronized skating teams sponsor Wightlink for the sponsored ferry crossings for team members involved in this event.
Radio Solent conducted a live interview with team manager Janet Marsh at Heathrow Airport just before 8am, following up their earlier interview. It’s available on the Julian Clegg show through BBC iplayer, about 1 hour 26 minutes into the broadcast.
