Former IW skater Sophie Kent took first place in the Novice Ladies event at the IJS competitions in Sheffield on 17 to 21 September. Her total score was 65.79. Sophie now skates at Sheffield.

Matthew Kershaw, who also used to skate for the Isle of Wight and now skates at Basingstoke, was eighth in the Junior Men with a total score of 63.31.
