The Spring Cup takes place from 16 to 18 February at the PalaSesto ice rink, Sesto San Giovanni, Milan. Unusually, there are no British teams at this year’s event, just a token Brit from iowskaters in the audience waving a Swedish flag for Team Surprise in the senior competition – because, of course, IW skater Gemma Marsh is in the skating 16 for Team Surprise.
Results are at http://www.fisg.it/upload/result/4581/index.html. There is usually live streaming, but no link at the time of writing. Last year it was via the Spring Cup YouTube channel, with individual programmes uploaded later: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwg-qdCiYW75muAysGHNhvg
Update: Team Surprise skated clean programmes, scoring 73.03 in the short and 132.58 in the free for a total of 205.60 and first place by some way. It’s probably true to say that no IW skater has ever been in a higher-scoring synchro team at an ISU international. Team Surprise’s free programme is available to view at https://youtu.be/3J0qu_tDxcY.
Individual videos are available on catch-up at https://www.youtube.com/user/springcup/videos but the senior shorts are not yet uploaded.
