Former IW skater Charlotte Aiken and ice dance partner Josh Whidborne were in action for their first international of the season at the Nebelhorn Trophy, Oberstdorf, on 27 to 29 September.
Charlotte and Josh were 10th after the short programme with a score of 46.12 and 11th in the free with 70.57, for a total of 116.69 and 11th place overall. They had 2 points in deductions in the free, without which they could have reached 8th. Their challenge for the season will be to lift their marks, which are consistent with those from Sheffield IJS, by 10 to 15 points to get them closer to the next plateau of skaters’ marks.
